Culture by definition is complex, diverse and engaging.  The most compelling reason to engage Aubrey Artworks as a source for original works of art, handcrafted one of a kind pieces or as a fundraising partner, is that we are genuinely about building community. We "walk the walk" . When the Director of a prominent Brooklyn Museum  (MoCada) engaged us to preview an award winning cinematographers work on St. John, we viewed the opportunity as a chance to build community. And when we joined forces with Master Drummer Dion Parson and his foundation for Jazz on the Dock, we exposed local artists to local buyers.  When Aubrey Artworks paired  International Jazz Great Lori Williams with International Capitol and Management for a  performance  in the " Jazz in the Park" series, once again we were simply building community. Our function is to create relationships that result in win-win situations. We use the creative arts to bridge gaps and create commerce.  Whether we organize an arts fair for your event, book the finest entertainment to bring a crowd to support your cause or recommend the right voice, painter or photographer to capture the essence of your project- Aubrey Artworks offers a unique array of options.

DOCUMENTING SOCIAL HERITAGE

Creating partnerships is essential to the success of Aubrey Artworks. With support from the National Endowment for the Arts via the VI Council on the Arts, strong support was provided for what would later become an annual initiative. Creatives such as world traveller and filmmaker/photographer Chelcie S. Porter, Luther Parris, Mathew Gibney of St. John, Jose Morales, James Lakey, Shomo, Aisha Zakiya- Boyd and Jared Shomo participated in this spectacular mix-media event.

TRADITION AND COMMUNICATION

A Photo Trilogy, featured the work of Barbara Young, Jared Shomo and Alan "Tight" Burgess, the first to join the Aubrey Artworks network. These photographers  sought to examine attitudes and images of the Caribbean with work printed on metal, canvas and traditional paper photo paper.
